Free tax and finance seminar for businesses

A free tax and finance seminar will be held this month for business owners or anyone considering starting a business.

The Tax, Financial & Accounting Solutions for Businesses and Business Owners seminar will be held Jan. 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Telegraph office, 120 Broadway in Macon, according to a news release. Attendance is by registration only by calling 741-8823 before Jan. 11.

The event will help attendees learn how to avoid paying too much income tax, how to prepare for retirement, how to provide for heirs and how to avoid common mistakes.

The seminar will be led by Steve and Judie Swinney, certified public accountants with 40 years of combined experience. They are co-authors of the Ask The CPAs column that appears in The Telegraph.
